Change Is Everything:

Do you ever feel stuck? Do you ever feel that no matter what you do or how hard you work it seems like you’re not moving forward? You are not the only one feeling like this. Millions of people around the world feel this way and many don’t even realise it. This is part of the human existence, where things that we did in the past stop being effective in the present. This is because of change. We change; people around us change and the world around us changes. Change is the only thing that is constant throughout our lives. But what do we do in the face of all these changes? If we are constantly doing the same old thing each time, we will be continually disappointed with the results.
There is one thing that we all have in common: problems. Other people might call them by another name but we all experience problems no matter what we choose to call them. Most often than not problems will arise because something changes. As long as we are living in this imperfect world, things will always change and we will always have problems. The sooner we accept this fact the better off we are.
No matter if the change is good or bad, it will always herald a challenge or an adjustment. For example when one inherits property, it is a good kind of change but there are problems it will produce. There will be taxes to pay and possibly relatives fighting over what should be their share. It automatically carries with it several things that you need to be responsible for and this can be scary or uncomfortable. Immediately the experience is influenced by the primary mind-sets that we have. As soon as the fear sets in there are two lenses that we can use to look at the situation. You could see it through the lens of opportunity; as in good things will come out of this change, this problem. If you can see a problem or change as an opportunity, you will get excited which in turn makes room for creativity. Creativity then generates a space for finding solutions that can directly address the problem. Or, you could see it through the lens of a threat, where your behaviour will drastically change and won’t be nearly as productive.
Sometimes all it takes is a different mind-set to move forward. Seeing things as opportunities opens you up to acceptance and trust in your life. It is really up to us, we can choose how we see things and in turn choose how we react to them. More importantly by being open to change, and accepting it as a part of our human experience, we open ourselves to the experience of courage.
